Collection: Elzbieta Krawecka

Elzbieta, born in Krakow and raised in Poland and the Middle East, is now based in Toronto. Her exposure to diverse cultures sparked a love for travel, which, along with her studies at the Ontario College of Art and Design, deeply influences her work as an oil painter. Using thick, opaque paint applied with a palette knife and translucent washes, she explores the vastness of North American landscapes and the emptiness of the Kuwaiti desert. Her work questions ideas of place and time, evoking a timeless, collective memory through skies and water defined by pattern formations.
